Karol Dobiáš

Karol Dobiáš (December 18, 1947, Handlová) is a former Slovak football player and coach.
During his career, he was universal player, mostly played as defender or midfielder. He played for Spartak Trnava (1967-77), Bohemians Praha (1977-80) and Lokeren.
In Czechoslovak league he played 345 matches, scored 20 goals. He was capped 67 times for Czechoslovakia, scored 5 goals. He was a participant at the 1970 FIFA World Cup and a member of Czechoslovak winning team at 1976 European Football Championship. In 1970 and 1971, he was named Czechoslovak Footballer of the Year. Best result in his coaching career is 1995 Czech champion.
