Karl Theobald

Karl Theobald (born 5 August 1969) is an English comedian and comedy actor.
He is originally from Lowestoft where he studied at The Denes High School around 1985 and went to dance school at an early age. He graduated from the Drama Centre in 2000, to work with Theatre de Complicite.
Theobald is the one time comedy partner of Russell Brand. Brand and Theobald formed a double act during the nineties. This was mentioned by Brand during his radio show on BBC Radio 2 on 9th December 2006.
Theobald is most famous as the down-trodden Dr. Martin Dear in the Channel 4 sitcom Green Wing. He has also written comedy, writing for such programs such as The Sketch Show and Smack the Pony. He is currently appearing in Donkey's Years in the West End.
