Karl Alzner

Karl Alzner (born September 24, 1988 in Burnaby, British Columbia) is a Canadian junior ice hockey defenceman, currently playing for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.
Alzner is in his third season with the Hitmen, and is steadily improving. He also played for Canada's gold-medal winning team at the 2007 World Jr. Hockey Championships. He was one of only two players who had not been selected in the NHL draft (the other being Sam Gagner).
Alzner is considered to be a top prospect for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
