Karl Adams (baseball player)

Karl Tutwiler Adams (August 11, 1891 - September 17, 1967) was an American right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball in the National League for the Cincinnati Reds (1914) and Chicago Cubs (1915). He compiled a 1-9 won-lost record in his brief career.

Adams was a native of Columbus, Georgia. He died in Everett, Washington. He had lived in Everett for twenty-seven years prior to his death. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Old Guard Post 2100. After baseball Karl worked for a number of years as a golf professional in Illinois and Kentucky. He was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 265 and the Port Gardner Golf Club at Everett's Municipal Golf Course.

Adams left behind his wife, Marie, and a brother, John. His funeral was conducted from the Solie Funeral Home with the Reverend Edwin Johnson presiding. Karl Adams home was 2503 7th Street in Everett. He was 76 years of age at the time of his death from an extended illness. He died at a local hospital and was cremated at Cypress Lawn Cemetery.
