Kari Bremnes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kari Bremnes (born 9 December 1956 in Svolvær in Lofoten) is a Norwegian singer and songwriter.
She got an M.A. in language, literature and theater studies from the University of Tromsø, and worked as a journalist for a while before deciding to dedicate herself to music full time.
In 1991 she received the Spellemannprisen for the record Spor, in collaboration with her brother Lars Bremnes. With her two brothers, Lars and Ola, she received Nordland's county's cultural award in 1997.
In 2004, Bremnes became the subject of an ongoing, good-natured joke on the comedy show Team Antonsen. The premise was a man who had the ability to express every possible human emotion simply through pronouncing her name.
