Karen Young (born 19 June 1951) is a Canadian singer and jazz musician. She has also sang under the stage name Karen Egan.
Young was born in Montreal and raised in Hudson, Quebec. At age 14 she began playing the guitar and had recorded a minor hit with the song "Garden of Ursh" by the time she was 19. Originally Young played folk music but quickly switched to jazz. She performed with various groups during the 1970s and early 1980s; from 1983-1990 she collaborated with Michel Donato. Young began teaching at the University of Montreal in 1988.
The LP Contredanse with Young as the singer and Donato as the bassist won the duo a Félix Award in 1988 for Jazz Album of the Year.
