Kardamili

Kardamili (also spelled Kardhamili, Kardamyli, Καρδαμύλη in Greek) is a small town in the Messinia prefecture of Greece about 35km [1] from the regional capital, Kalamata. It is the seat of the municipality of Lefktro. It lies on the west of the Mani peninsula, on the Messinian Gulf road connecting Kalamata to Areopoli and rates one star (Interesting) in Michelin.[2] It has a small fishing port, restaurants, bars, cafés, St Spiridon's Church (13C), the ruins of old Kardamili, and a range of shops including traditional Greek arts and craft goods as well as more tourist-oriented items.
