Karak is 123 Km from peshawar on main Indus highway between peshawar and karachi.Its the only dostrict in pakistan where people from only one trip live i.e Khattaks and all are sunni muslims. Karak has the one of the largest urinium mines in pakistan and now its controle is taken over by Pakistan Atomic Energy Department.
Most of the people are serving in Pakistan Army, but agriculture is the main source of living of people.
