Kara Kuş, Hakkari

Kara Kuş (Qochanis, also known as Qudshanes or Kotchanes) is a village at the north of Hakkâri Province in the southeastern corner of modern Turkey near the Greater Zab River. It was the seat of the patriarchs of the Church of the East from the 17th century until 1915[citation needed].
