Kapitan Dranitsyn (icebreaker)

The Kapitan Dranitsyn (Russian: «Капитан Драницын») is a Russian (formerly Soviet) icebreaker. Its construction was finished on December 2, 1980 in Finland for the Soviet Union. Since October 1, 1995 it is used as a research vessel by AARI and completed five research cruises into Barents Sea, Bering Sea, Laptev Sea and the Arctic Ocean. [1] It also offers excursions in the Arctic Ocean north of Russia.
