Kaori Yanase is a fictional character from Variable Geo series. Her fighting style is Tae Kwon Do, being the representant of this martial art in the series.

The runner-up in the V.G. tournament before last. Both times that she lost in the tournament, it was to Reimi Jyahana. Since she was about 3 years old, she has been going to a Tae Kwon Do dojo, and with a prodigal fighting sense, she's amassed several trophies with her true abilities. Though, it looks like she's rather awkward with the opposite sex. The computer terminal she uses is her own personal computer (a custom made model she calls "D-G"); on it, she stores all the data on the V.G. competitors.

Ressenshuu (Kick Fireball) - Kaori performs a standing roundhouse, leaving a bullet of violet energy in its wake. On the super variant, Kaori adds a jumping spin kick and another violet bullet to follow.
Enkenfu (Rush Kick) - Kaori performs a jump kick toward her opponent. The strong variant hits for 2 hits, to the weak variants one, and the super version hits for several more, ending in a mid-air downward heel thrust.
Rasengeri (Air Dive) - From above, Kaori drills into her opponent by spinning her descending frame as she kicks downward with both legs.
Shuugeki (Air Stomp) - From above, Kaori stomps upon her opponent's head.
Retsuzandou - Her ultimate super. Kaori begins with a rapid-fire string of kicks onto her opponent, and ends with a string of mid-air stomps that carry her opponent upward, ending with a final kick to bring her down.

Her story is very similar to the series. Reimi Jyahana is her ultimate rival, being defeated various time, Kaori now is decided to defeat her once for all. But she has to fight first with the last Jyahana experiment: a brainwashed Satomi Yajima, who defeats her after a valerous fight. Later, Kaori helps Yuka Takeuchi to stop Satomi and Miranda (the mastermind behind those facts).
