[edit] Change in User Name
Hello Kandal the Vandal, and welcome to Wikipedia. I am sorry to have to leave you this as your first message, but you should probably change your username. As a wiki, wikipedia receives thousands of vandalism edits every day. Since your username has the word "Vandal" in it, it is likely that you will be mistaken for a vandal. However Wikipedia users can request their usernames be changed, at WP:CHU. You can change your username to anything else that you would like, as long as the name isn't taken, and it conforms to our username policy. Thanks, and happy editing! - Thanks for your comments. I just went through the policies at WP:CHU. The first one, Requesting a change, stated that "Instead of changing your name, you can change your preferences to change your signature. This will change your "public appearance" on talk pages without requiring costly changes to the database.". Do you think that the application of this policy in my case will suffice or do you still think that I should change my entire user name? I am new here, so please advise. - Frankly, although I don't know how many changes are actually applied to the database for a name change (I'd guess three: name change, and user page moves), I would recommend you follow through with the change because your name is very suggestive, and the word "vandal" here on Wikipedia is usually denotated as "Defacer of Wikipedia," not "member of old Germanic tribe." You most certainly can simply change your signature, and if that's the path you take just ask me and I'll help you set up a new signature...however, if that's the path you take everyone who visits your user page is likely to leave a comment suggesting a name change! Either way, happy editing. - Corbin Be excellent 01:19, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:GIM-entrance.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:GIM-entrance.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:46, 15 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fang Aili talk 17:46, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
