Talk:Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The KCMO was acquired by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway in 1928, mainly to gain access to the west Texas oil fields. It is also stated that the purchase of the KCMO was to prevent the Southern Pacific from doing the same and gaining a foothold in ATSF territory. I would be bold and add this to the article but I want to find a citable source to back it up (Now I must remember where I read this).--Bozokansas 18:00, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
