It would be cool if this article included who the actor(s) was. _____________________ Could someone make it so the is an article on the actor he has been in other movies and games you know but it redirects Appearances section:

"Kane appears in:

Kane is played by Joseph D. Kucan, who also directed the movies in all C&C games except for Command & Conquer: Generals, Zero Hour,Sole Survivor, Aftermath and Counterstrike."

It's been there for a while now. Jareand 20:24, 24 February 2006 (UTC)

Is there any reason to belive Joseph D. Kucan will not play Kane in Tiberium Wars?

[edit] Appearance in Red Alert 2

At the end of the original installation program of Red Alert 2, technical specifications are displayed on almost every vehicle. Each vehicle is shown in 3-4 views, with divisions marked and labeled in short paragraphs, all illegible. One of them is the prism tank, and this is the only spec with a person in it, behind the tank, with a gun, in the bottom view. I honestly believe that this is Kane, although there is no physical resemblance, because the label pointing to this character states in four barely-legible words, this is Kane ********, for the last word is long, and cannot be read. Kane’s last name? I will add this to the article when I have a picture. What is Wikipedia’s requirements for conjecture ideas? -Helios Rex

I really doubt that is is Kane and that word looks like it begins with an M more than a K to me and it looks slightly too long to be Kane in my opinion. --Rim-Fire 18:55, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hmm

I'm not sure about Wikipolicy on original research and speculation, but if you have a verbatim screenshot of it, we could put it up here for others to judge.

[edit] Quotes

I have added quotes which were worth adding, and I have also corrected some of the older ones as they weren't entirely literal quotes from the original cutscenes of the games. I've also removed the quote of "Control the media, control the mind." as I don't remember Kane ever saying this in any of the games (the quote is from CABAL in the second cutscene of Tiberian Sun's NOD campaign actually). If you can verify that Kane actually did say this at one point or another however, then feel free to re-add it of course. GoodLuckDie 09:01, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kucan

He should have his own article dont you think?

  • He deserves an article also the picture is from C & C we should probably mention that and also what does not mean Earth or Wander I like wander because theres the hand of nod with the Earth on it so I think it would fit but what is it.

[edit] Yuri

I find it much more likey that Yuri was once not but broke away and Nod decided not to back the soviets again and fought Yuri. THere were all those times people avoided mind control I like to think they were nod.

  • Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge are not connected to the C&C storyline. Jareand 01:31, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Look at the last Renegade level and Westwood says it isJamhaw 16:06, 29 May 2006 (UTC)jamhaw
  • The RA2 pictures in Renegade mean absolutley nothing. There either a goof or an easter egg. And Westwood says it is? juh???!!! Until the day it died, Westwood always said that RA1 was the story-driven prequel to TD, and RA2 was a spoof, created by people who do not make RA1, TD and TS. Yes, some westwood employees were planning a sequel to renegade that would of jammed RA2 between RA and TD, but it, of course, never went anywhere, it was stuck in the concept stage. And, in the end, was scrapped so fast your head would spin. Jareand 03:07, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
  • Wrong Westwood never said it was a spoof and said they were working on an internal stryline which will propably surface in Red Aler 3 anyway I am could someone get rid of the Kucan rediect it makes it impossible to write an article on him and I only wrote that in answer to the Kane is Yuri idea which ludicrous and caused more plot holes than it filled I think my theory is far better but it is still just speculation.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.174.135.175 (talkcontribs).
  • Yes, they did. They always said so on the (now dead) official RA2 boards. I already explained the "internal storyline" above, and there was never any RA3 in development, it only existed in an unauthorized email by Mark Skaggs. And may I suggest that you learn how to use punctuation? Jareand 23:55, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
  • So unless your Louis Castles best friend I dont think you would know and I think that it is entirely possible it will be a tie in also could you please get rid of the Joseph Kucan redirect to this page he deserves his own article and I refuse to use punctuatio! Jamhaw 16:18, 31 May 2006 (UTC)jamhaw
  • Oh yeah I am curious how come after getting vaporised he only get's facial burns either he is vaporised or unharmed it shouldn't be in the middle oh and use the my talk if you get the redirect gone.
  • So I see the IP address posting is Jamhaw... Yes, a tie in would be possible, but doing so would destroy all seriousness in the real C&C storyline. Jamming RA2 in, it might be possible, but at what cost? Jareand 02:58, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
  • I think it would be worth it Yuris Revenge was the real crazy one what was he avenging? Still could you please get rid of the Joseph D. Kucan redirect to this page?
  • As I said before, RA2 and YR are not connected to the C&C storyline. This was Westwood's position and is accepted throughout the C&C community. And if you want a seperate Joe Kucan article so bad, then why not do it yourself? Be Bold! Jareand 19:53, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
  • i dont know how to separate them. I did not start the Yuri idea someone else said that Kane had plastic surgery which is utterly ridiculus so I merely said what is a far more likely idea.
  • Westwood did not say the Red Alert and Tiberian series were unconnected Marck Skaggs said that he also said Red ALert 3 was do to come out thats not what we call a very trustworthy source. Jamhaw 18:35, 5 March 2007 (UTC)jamhaw

[edit] A comment on cloning

It has been mistakenly assumed that CABAL had cloned Kane at the end of Firestorm; however if one were to notice that upon closer observation, the face plate and scars are still on his face and head. One may assume that if he were cloned, his damage from Tiberian Dawn (Facial Plate, Burns) would be gone.

I would like to say, this is true, you would not see the burns or scarring. BUT you must also understand, that CABAL is trying to use people to do his own ends (in the end encorporating everything into his system). It is possible that he is purposely inserting these blemishes to make any sort of cloned kane as much like the original as possible.

What I am trying to point at is, if you were something trying to take over the world, and were using a powerful military organization with a figurehead that has died long ago, but you have some of his DNA, wouldn't you not only clone him, but also clone the blemishes so that no one would be like "If thats such-and-such, where did his mole/burn/scar/etc go?" and prevent doubt from arising?

One may also realise CABAL stands for Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform; meaning Kane and all the other humans in this scene are part of CABAL's system at this time. Therefore, CABAL is not cloning Kane

This is not a valid point. The meaning of an acronym does not always reflect what the function is.

He actaully COULD be cloning kane, and using NOD to his own ends. I mean, why wouldn't he?

Now I do not know why he would make so many clones, but hey, thats the vague C&C storyline for you. Just illuminating possibilities.

Well considering what the abbr CABAL means, and what a Cabal is, I'd assume that's what was intended.

Or perhaps the damage done to Kane wasn't purely cosmetic. Could he have been mutated? Perhaps that's why he won't show his face. If so, wouldn't the damage be on a genetic level and thus transferred to a clone? Custodes 11:41, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rewrite

I've done a pretty large rewrite on the bulk of the article. Hope it meets with everyone's approval. 80.201.107.122 21:53, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CVG Assessment

Someone removed the assessment request from the CVG Assessment page, but as the assesser was the person who had made the request, I decided to swing on by anyways. I'm lowering the rating to Start-class, because while the game appearances section is very well laid out, it is entirely in-universe, there is no lead, and only one reference. Please provide more information on the character's development in the real world, rather than just a quick sentence on who the actor was. --PresN 20:41, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Connection to Einstein's time-travel technology in Red Alert 1

Anyone else notice that the visual effect shown when Kane "disappeared" just as the world-altering missile was launched in the Tiberian Sun NOD ending cutscene seems rather identical to the visual effect shown in the Red Alert 1 intro movie that depicts Albert Einstein and his assistant teleporting him back in time to erase Adolf Hitler from the timeline? I believe this is exactly how Kane escaped from the Ion Cannon in the Temple in Tiberian Dawn in the first place (though he obviously didn't warp himself out quick enough to escape facial scarring), and given the fact that the Red Alert story arc serves as the literal predecessor to the Tiberian story arc (i.e. they take place in the exact same timeline and not in alternate timelines), it could be assumed that Kane somehow has access to that very same technology. This would also explain why he never seems to age and has been working for Stalin in Red Alert 1 yet continues to lead the Brotherhood in Tiberian Wars. Tacitus666 03:36, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
