Kanose (鹿瀬町; -machi) was a town located in Higashikanbara District, Niigata, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 2,753 and a density of 10.68 persons per km². The total area was 257.69 km².

In April 2005, Kanose merged with three neighboring villages to form the town of [[Aga, Niigata|Aga.
