Kanku sho

Kanku Sho (観空小) (Japanese: "Gazing Heavenward" or "Viewing the Sky" or "Contemplating the Sky") is an advanced kata practiced in Shotokan karate and is the minor form of the Kanku dai kata. The embusen (path of movement) of the kata is similar to that of Kanku dai, but it begins differently. It is a compulsory Shotokan kata and of high technical merit.
