Kangaamiut

Kangaamiut is a settlement in West Greenland in the municipality of Maniitsoq. With a population of 414 (as of Jan. 2004), it is the biggest settlement (bygd) outside the municipal centres of Greenland.
It is located just north of Maniitsoq at Maniitsoq) originally lay when the colony was founded in 1755, until it moved in 1782 to its present location.
