Kang Jae-seop

Kang Jae-seop (강재섭) (born 28 May 1948, Uiseong, North Gyeongsang, South Korea) is a South Korean politician and the current leader of Grand National Party since 11 July 2006. He is now in his fifth parliamentary term, having first been elected in 1988.

During the election campaign of the leader of Grand National Party, he was allegedly supported by Park Geun-hye, the former leader of the party. Since Park is preparing for the 2007 presidential election, his being the leader of the party could be beneficial to Park.
