Kane Cornes (born January 5, 1983) in an Australian rules football player who plays for Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League.
He made his AFL debut in 2001, recruited from Glenelg in the SANFL. He attended Sacred Heart College which, today, is known as one of the most highly established schools in Australia when it comes to producing Aussie Rules footballers. His All Australian brother Chad Cornes also attended Sacred Heart College and played for Glenelg in the SANFL. Kane and Chad are the sons of South Australian football legend Graham Cornes.
In 2004 he was a member of Port Adelaide's inaugural premiership team.
In 2005 he was selected as a member of the 2005 All-Australian team.
In 2006 he played his 100th AFL game against the Western Bulldogs in Round 7.
He also played in Port Adelaide's 2001 and 2002 Australian Football League pre-season competition winning teams.
In 2006 he topped the AFL Dreamteam competition and quickly became a nationwide favourite.
Since then, Mount Scopus has taken him in as their own.
