Kanaya (金谷町; -chou) is a town located in Haibara District, Shizuoka, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 20,485 and a density of 318.29 persons per km². The total area is 64.36 km².

In 2005, Kanaya merged with the long time twin city of Shimada to become the new city of Shimada.
