[edit] The name
Mind showing where it came from? :) I didn't see the rider's human name on the Japanese wiki and I haven't seen it on any of the Japanese boards. Yaguruma 10:43, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

- Check the Japanese Wiki again, its under user qualification, but its hidden. View source, and then you'll see it. Floria L 21:43, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jun Matsumoto
Where did that name come from? As far as I know, he's busy filming Hana Yori Dango 2. Yaguruma 23:34, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Momotaros
Since he seems to be a main character and have a pretty big role, should we make a full page for him? I'm pretty sure it'll end up having more than enough material. Yaguruma 04:58, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- We'll have to see. Considering that there will be 4 at least Imajin that bond with Nogami, maybe it would be better just to have sections in there respective character lists. Unless of course, the information is overwhelming. Floria L 10:49, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well, from all the info we've been given about them possessing Nogami, it does seem like they'll have more info than the executive Worms to say the least.Yaguruma 14:42, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- Since he posses Nogami and takes over, that time period should still be set aside onto Den-O's page under Nogami's biography section. His section will contain traces of that, but only major actions that he himself performs should be added. Such as giving Nogami the Rider Ticket, fighting the Bat Imajin, and such. [edit] Character Page
Its obvious we will need a character page soon for them, but how would we go about splitting them into sections? Kabuto had a nice line of non-organization, ZECT, etc. Floria L 20:59, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- Maybe "Civilians" and "DenLiner Crew Members"? At the moment, that's really the only way we can distinguish the two. Yaguruma 07:14, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
The series aired so change it up a bit.74.195.3.199 10:25, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

- The layout we have now is fine. Floria L 14:07, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Moving the page
Since we're going by official spellings from now on, shouldn't this page be moved to "Masked Rider Den-O"?. Yaguruma 07:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
- Wouldn't that be a bit extreme? Lets just keep to current standards, and leave Kamen untranslated. Its not a matter of official spelling, as Kamen and Masked are pretty much the same thing. Floria L 10:13, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- I don't really see how it would be extreme. I find it rather hypocritical that we're moving some pages based on official spellings(Imagin, which I still believe should be Imajin since 'jin' is a suffix for race) and not others. If we move some pages based on those spellings, we should move them all, if not, none of them should be moved. Yaguruma 15:53, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- Its a bit different here. We adhered to the Imagin spelling because of what the webbie said, and they pretty much sound the same. No room for debate there. Kamen on the other hand... The Kanji used to write Kamen is pronounced Kamen. Not masked. Since they don't really sound the same at all, there's no need to move it based on spelling, as a translators note has been left at the beginning of each article.

- Again, it's not that different. Take the Boukenger article for instance, when they had the "GouGou" "GoGo" debacle, it was solved based on official spellings. We have an official English spelling here and it's "Masked Rider". It's what the toys refer to Den-O himself as and even what the website refers to him as, as stated by "Masked Rider Den-O" on the logo. If I recall correctly, we went for "den-o" instead of "Den'Ou" solely based on the logo, we shouldn't just half ass it. The translator's note at the beginning would just need to be flipped because really, the current Nihongo tag there isn't being used right. It should be English (Kanji Romaji?) and not Romaji (Kanji Romaji?) Yaguruma 20:45, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

- Then why not translate everything into english for the first bracket. It would make sense. Kamen - Masked, GoGo - Rumbling, Sentai - Taskforce. No half-ass jobs. Floria L 21:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Eh, I don't think Masked Rider Den-O is better than Kamen Rider Den-O. If we were to translate every japanese title to english, then some titles would be very awkward. Like say Utawarerumono, try translating that and making it sound good. Or even Yu-Gi-Oh, an anime that most people know of. You could translate that to Game King, but it doesn't really work that way. Also, all the previous Kamen Riders have been named Kamen Rider. And as the original name is in japanse, and not english, I don't think it should really change. Just my thoughts. - That and the series is prominently known in the English (and Portuguese, French, Spanish, etc) speaking world as "Kamen Rider." Of course, sticking with the English spellings will also produce titles such as Masked Rider AgitΩ, Masked Rider Ryuki, Masked Rider Φ's, Masked Rider ♠, etc. and several will still be a mix of English and Japanese (Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki, and Den-O don't seem to get translated, nor would Hibiki or Kabuto). Most of the articles in all of Category:Tokusatsu are a mish-mash of Romaji names. Right now, it seems that the Kamen Rider articles would be the only ones affected by this, as I've found the Toei/tv asahi DVD covers that use "Mahou Sentai Magiranger" and "GoGo Sentai Boukenger" written out in roman letters. Whereas with the Kamen Rider series, in English, it's written in English. But, again, this discussion is probably better at WT:TOKU—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 21:40, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] alumni
Would anyone mind if a tokusatsu alummi section was added? Kabuto has one and by episode 3, Den-O already has two former toku actors. Yaguruma 13:13, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- Was just thinking about that, go ahead. Keep it in a chart at best. Floria L 19:43, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Issei
Could we keep to using Waporo for these macronated names. Waporo out, hepburn in, thats usually what preceding articles have gone with. Waporo out gives distinction to the correct pronunciation, and hepburn in keeps it technical. Floria L 15:42, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Kill that, Ryu's right. Macrons are indeed better, so I've gone through and changed them all, besides Ryotaro, seeing as we have an official spelling for that. I might have missed some, so feel free to correct. Floria L 00:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suit actors?
Nothing about the people behind the costumes? 121.6.118.119 16:12, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
If you know anything, feel free to add. Floria L 16:16, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I found this on Den-o's Japanese wiki page on the suit actors:
スーツアクター
* 仮面ライダー電王、モモタロス:高岩成二 * ウラタロス:大岩永徳
I can only read kana, so I would appreciate if someone with more knowledge of Japanese help out with their names. Jutari 11:14, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- The suit actor for Den-o/Momo is Takaiwa Seiji. He also did several past Riders in previous years. 203.78.9.150 03:58, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- I forgot to click their names to find out their pronunciation from the kana, silly me.
I added Takaiwa Seiji to the cast list. His Japanese wiki-page was pretty impressive. At least 5 sentai and all the main Riders from Agito to Den-o, with the exception of Hibiki.高岩 成二 And Urataros is Ooiwa Hisanori 大岩永徳Jutari 07:53, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Music theme
Would it be a good idea to put it into a table? Even then, should we use the under developed anime music template box? It lacks several parameters that are necessary when crediting music, and is also unable to pass nihongo parameters through certain fields. Got solutions? Floria L 19:50, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Create a new table? I'm not exactly sure how to do that though, but if it can be done, that would be better I suppose. Yaguruma 20:42, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
