Kamshet(कामशेत) is located in the State of Maharashtra, India 110 km from Mumbai (Bombay)City and 85 kilometers from Pune. It is 11 km away from the twin hill stations of Khandala & Lonavala. It is accessible from Mumbai (Bombay) and Pune by road and rail. Set amongst rugged hills, lush fields and serene lakes this beautiful hilly area, has an altitude of 2200 feet. The weather is pleasant and the large pristine lakes add to the untouched beauty of the area.

This hill station is located in the Western Ghats (hills) off an ancient trade route that once linked the west coast to the hinterland. The hills along this route are dotted with ancient cave temples, medieval hill fortresses and colonial hill stations.

Kamshet is a dream come true for all those who love flying, freedom and nature. Superb scenery changes hues along with the seasons. No noise, no pollution, just hills, lakes and wondrous winds.

Of particular interest is the university town of Pune, 45 km away, famed for the Osho ashram with its orange robed devotees & radical meditation techniques, a mix of cool hangouts, pubs & restaurants, historic buildings & old-world charm. Closer to base is the Karla Caves, Bhaja Caves and Bhedsa caves, ancient Buddhist cave temples with exquisite carvings and magnificent statues of the Buddha.
