Kamran Khan is one of Pakistan Geo TV lead anchor during special news and landmark events. Kamran is also in charge of The News Intelligence Unit (NIU), where he manages investigative reports for The News International. His first stint on television as an anchor was on Geo’s programme, “Frontline.”

Once he had established his reputation as a sharp journalist, with a serious demeanor to boot, Khan flew to fame with his hit show, “Kamran Khan Show,” perhaps the only live global news broadcast springing from a Pakistani channel, and appreciated around the world. His expert opinion, in-depth analysis and an eye for detail has provided Geo audiences with constant updates and insight.

After a Successful run the show ended, audiences were disappointed and Geo received innumerable letters and phone calls asking about Kamran Khan. Geo didn’t let down loyal fan and brought back Kamran Khan. “ Aaj Kamran Khan Ke Saath”, is a late edition for political enthusiasts, offering them a daily news roundup.

Kamran Khan is special correspondent for the Washington Post, based in Karachi.His stories appeared in The Washington Post , International Herald Tribune , and The Sunday Times of London . On March 15, 2007 Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has imposed ban on “Aaj Kamran Khan Key Sath”, the famous programme of Geo Television Network.

As of March 15th, 2007 evening 11:05 PM local time, “Aaj Kamran Khan Key Sath” has been stopped as the government has imposed ban on it, said the spokesman of the Geo Television Network.

Journalists' community believe that the ban is due to Kamran's fair analysis about case of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

It was announced at 11:05 PM (Pakistan Time), when this programme starts daily, that the programme could not be aired due to government ban.

Reacting to the ban on this programme, Kamran Khan, the host of the programme, condemned the government action and said that there was no other agenda of the said programme except making people aware of real facts and correct analysis. On March 19, 2007 President Pervez Musharraf appeared on Aaj Kamran Khan Ke Saath. Thus lifted the ban it had imposed on a chat show.
