Kamran Abbasi

Kamran Abbasi is a doctor and medical editor. He is currently editor of the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine and chief executive and editor-in-chief of OnMedica (a popular website for GPs and health professionals). [1]

Formerly, Dr Abbasi was the acting editor of the British Medical Journal and of the Bulletin of the World Health Organization. He has also worked as medical director of the UK-based independent health information company, Dr Foster.

Kamran Abbasi qualified in medicine from Leeds University in 1992. He trained in internal medicine in Yorkshire and London before joining the British Medical Journal. In addition, he is a cricket writer and blogger for wisden website Cricinfo.com with a particular expertise in Pakistani cricket and the politics of cricket.
