Kamisugiyama Junior High School

Kamisugiyama Junior high school (上杉山中学校) is a junior high school in Aoba-ku, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.

The school is operated by the Sendai City Board of Education [1].

It is one of the oldest junior high schools in Sendai.

The cultural festival of this school will be held by the name a "big tree festival" in September every year. A big tree festival is public presentation and a thing which makes a stage announcement about that into which the area of strength was developed while demonstrating the result for one year of the student of this school. General public presentation is carried out, and the student of other schools, a local resident, etc. gather to school, and that including alumnus enjoy a big tree festival. It is contents academic every year and has become the deep thing of the contents simultaneously.

This school is performing Yosakoi as part of a lesson, and a team is built by the volunteer every year. This team has announced the dance performance at school-grounds events, such as a cultural festival, by the team name of the "Kaminaka Yosakoi Tamaki." Moreover, not only a school activity but off the campus is working, and it has participated in the cultural festival of other schools in the form of a friendship performance. It was filled, and it aged in the Yosakoi festival which goes away 2004, and has participated in it.
