Kalyan Singh (born 5 January 1932) is a former chief minister of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He was chief minister of the state from September 1997 to November 1999 and earlier from June 1991 to December 1992. He is a senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party. He stood for the 2004 Lok Sabha elections on the BJP ticket and is currently a Member of Parliament from Bulandshahar.
Kalyan Singh has recently been appointed as a Vice-Preseident of Bharatiya Janata Party and has also been declared as the party's choice for the post of next chief minister of the largest state of India - Uttar Pradesh. He has one son, Mr. Raj Veer Singh, who is also a present Member of Legislatice Assembly and ex-health minister of the state.
