Kalikiri is a small town with a population of around 20000 in the district of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh, India. The town is famous for its huge tomato market, which supplies tons of tomatoes to other states like Tamilnadu and Kerala.

Its very close to the two main cities of south India Bangalore and Chennai. The main deity of the town is Yellamma, where there is an annual festival conducted to worship the deity. the culture and language here is influenced by kannada. the country side environment is found here as it is surrounded by hundreds of villages. large number of telugu muslims(dudekula) live here, it is the place where we can find artistic culture of telugu muslims unlike in any other part of the state. Jumma Masjid here is very famous in surrounding towns for its artistic architecture and customs, Muslims celebrate the Festivals(RamZan,Bakrid)) in very grand manner altogether,villagers come down here on these festival days to have semiya(sweet) offered by the muslims. It is also named for the traditional medicene treatment of ayurveda, people come here for the treatment from far places even from other states. Amarnatha Reddy who was an ex-minister of AP belong to this town and served people here as MLA of vayalpad.for more than 9 years. Now his son Nallari KirankumarReddy is also elected as MLA of Vayalpad for 10years and designated as Chief wip of the state Government.
