Kali Mountford

Carol Jean Mountford, known as Kali Mountford (born 12 January 1954, Crewe), is a Labour Party politician in the United Kingdom. She is Member of Parliament for Colne Valley, and was first elected at the 1997 general election. She was suspended from the House of Commons for five days in 1998 for leaking a Select Committee report to the government.
Mountford served as a Sheffield City Councillor and worked as a civil servant prior to entering Parliament. She serves as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Des Browne MP.
Mountford is married to Ian Leedham.
