Kali Chaudas
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kali Chaudas is a Jain festival and is India's Halloween falling right before Diwali.
Jain people are already vegetarian, but they take Kali Chaudas to the next level. They can't eat potatoes, onions, garlic, eggs (they normally don't eat eggs but some do), and vegetables. They eat Kator, beans such as kidney beans, cow peas, pigeon peas, and chick peas.
