6 months is an incredibly long block for an IP. Can you be a bit more specific about the vandalism you blocked them for? - Mgm|(talk) 13:52, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Languages of the European Union: A prolonged discussion over new member states data.

As there is an ongoing and rather prolonged discussion over some data about the new member states in Languages_of_the_European_Union#Language_skills_of_European_Union_citizens, please see the discussion in Talk:Languages_of_the_European_Union#2007_update and, as you have recently contributed to the article, you may want to add some comment. --Michkalas 20:26, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Taiwanese aborigines

Were you planning on discussing removing the sidebar? --Ling.Nut 17:00, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Further discussions on Template talk:TaiwaneseAboriginesSidebar please. – Kaihsu 17:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] EU official languages: One member, one language

On 6 September 2005, you have written in the article Languages of the European Union (see here) that:

There has been a suggestion in an official briefing that the implicit principle for official languages of the European Union is that each member state can put forward at most one official language ('one member state, one language'). This has not been confirmed in documents.

Is there some source for this? --Michkalas 16:49, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

I think I got that from the European Parliament post-briefing that day. I don't know whether this ever appeared in print. – Kaihsu 09:48, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Dunno what's going on here - contribs doesn't tell much of a story, so deleted edits may be involved - so I'm deferring this one to you. The 6 month block length also struck me as strange, further enhancing my confusion. Cheers, Daniel.Bryant 00:19, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Taiwan

Hello,

Regarding James Laidlaw Maxwell, Thomas Barclay, and George Leslie Mackay, why did you delete the reference to China? Just because Taiwan was occupied by the Japanese doesn't mean that the culture ceased to be Chinese. Only the Taiwanese nationalists of the modern era might wish it to be disassociated, but then as now it is widely recognized as part of China.Brian0324 18:11, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] European Council - Membership seniority

Hi, Just to let you know that I have made the table of members of European Council sortable and so I have removed the seniority column which you added a year ago (following a request from me) because sorting by the Member Since col will now give the same info without the maintenance headache.--Rye1967 14:16, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Awesome! Many thanks! – Kaihsu 14:27, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Prod warning: Love Oxford

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Love Oxford, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
