Talk:Kaikōzan Hase-dera
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There's a lot more to hasedera that you don't really know!!!
There's also the fact that hasedera has a lot of nature embedded intheir gardens. Did you know that it's split into two parts? The bottom temple and the top temple. It's amazing. The bottom houses the many gardens and parks and paths for walking in and admiring nature while relaxing. The top temple includes the statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy, which has eleven heads to represent each of its characteristics. There are also tiny shrines around it to gaze at and take photos of. I thought it was very pretty and soothing. Hasedera has many stairs to climb, but you don't have to climb all of them to fully appreciate the beauty of hasedera. There is nature everywhere you go.
The funny part about hasedera is that it's not just a temple! It's a park full of Japan's traditional flowers and shrines and temples. It's a place of religion and nature. People often go there to relax, but it's also a wonderful place to have fun and take photographs.
The reason for the popularity of this wonderland is that it is not only about wabisabi. It also includes many fun activities for young people of "today". Couples have fun having walks in the beautiful parks, and others get a great view of the sea and the city, as well as the park in the pathways of your nature hike.
I had a lot of fun in this park and although i didn't get a good look at it (me and my field trip group just breezed through) I still thought it was the prettiest place in Kamakura.
