Kairakuen Station

Kairakuen Station (偕楽園駅 Kairakuen eki?) is a JR East railway station located in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan.
It is a temporary station done business as a showplace of the plum tree, Feburary, according to the excursion time of famous garden Kairakuen. A part of limited express stops at this station for this period, too.

  • 1925-02-02 : Station begins operation as Kōenshita tempolarary station (公園下仮乗降場|Kōenshita-karijōkōjō?). Jōkōjō means just the place for getting on and off, not a station.
  • 1967-02-01 : Jōkōjō was renamed to Kairakuen.
  • 1987-04-01 : Became to temporary station.
