Kai Nurminen (born March 29, 1969, in Turku, Finland) is a Finnish ice hockey forward, currently with TPS in the Finnish SM-liiga.
Nurminen started his hockey career playing for TPS in SM-liiga. He has also played two seasons in the Swedish Elitserien. In 1996 he was contracted by Los Angeles Kings in NHL. After only one season in NHL with 67 matches played (scoring 16 goals and 11 assists) he went back to Scandinavia. In season 2000-01 he played two games for the Minnesota Wild and was registered for one goal.
In his career he has also played for HPK and Jokerit in SM-liiga; HC Davos in Nationalliga A; and Frölunda HC and HV71 in Elitserien.
