[edit] Request for edit summary
When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.
Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 16:11, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Sarajevopurple.jpg
Hi Kahriman!
I was wondering if you could upload a higher res version of Image:Sarajevopurple.jpg? It's an amazing photo, and in higher res would easily pass through FPC --Fir0002 23:47, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

- Yes Sarajevo is amazing place, and if I ever get the chance to travel I will be sure to go there. Unfotunately the image no looks pretty bad. Was that a native image or did you just upscale the existing one? --Fir0002 12:06, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Srebrenica Massacre article
Kahriman, I just saw your edits on the RS article and then saw your user page for the first time. It would appear that the Srebrenica Massacre article would benefit from your checking in from time to time. Right now, everything is OK, but earlier this year the article was swamped by nationalist sockpuppets and there was no way for one user to defend the article. If you could visit the site every now and then, that would be helpful. Live Forever might benefit from your help checking into the Markale Massacres article also. Thank you. [edit] Answer
The census registered the number of Muslims, bot Bosniaks. Not all Muslims are Bosniaks, and not all Bosniaks are Muslims. Also, even if Muslims=Bosniaks, those people declared as Muslims, and it's not up to us to second guess the census results.--Еstavisti 19:45, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
About Milorad Dodik, he is the most powerful politician - head of a party that includes the President of RS, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the RS, the Prime Minister of the RS, one of the Presidents of BiH, the Prime Minister of BiH etcetc. As for him being most able, that is a widely held opinion (among all ethnic groups), but I won't insist on it.--Еstavisti 10:56, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

I voted of course for strong delete, it is an absurd POV-article, but nothing surprises me any more. Let's get this POV-crap deleted. Ancient Land of Bosoni
[edit] Me again Kahriman
Hi friend. I was going to point out to you that there is an arbitration fro Osli73 case. I voted "oppose". Hope you vote too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Osli73 Thanks. Bosniak 02:37, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps some background is in order. Only the people in the Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee are supposed to use that section (read that article for more background). One of the arbitrators (Fred Bauder) proposed that the remedies pertaining to Osli73 should be revoked, I think after Osli73 complained about them. Another arbitrator opposes the proposal. The Arbitration Committee decided on the remedies and they're the only ones that can revoke them.
- I'm sure there is some place you can place comments, but I don't know where. I guess it's best to ask one of the clerks (clerks are basically administrative staff used by the Arbitration Committee). -- Jitse Niesen (talk) 05:09, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

- As I see, I can't vote --Kahriman 14:11, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi Kahriman
I have noticed that Serb propagandists use fake pre-war ethnic maps. Here is the accurate one (source: Office of the High Representative):

[edit] 3RR on Srebrenica massacre
Selam alejkum, Kahrimane. You are in danger of violating the three-revert rule on Srebrenica massacre. Please cease further reverts for at least the next 24 hours or you may be blocked from further editing.--Domitius 20:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Alejkum selam. Thank you for worning. I know about that rule. Thanks again :) --Kahriman 20:41, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Canvassing for Srebrenica massacre requested move
It was reported on Talk:Srebrenica massacre that you posted an announcement on the Bosnian Wikipedia encouraging users to come to Talk:Srebrenica massacre and vote a particular way on the proposed move. If the translation posted is correct, then your actions violate Wikipedia's guideline against campaigning (encouraging voters to vote a certain way) and votestacking (notifying only or primarily users who you know or suspect to share your point of view). It is best not to game the system, and instead respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building, by ceasing to make further such announcements, and instead allowing the process to reflect the opinions of editors that were already actively involved in the matter at hand. Thank you. —Psychonaut 13:06, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I am very sorry if I have broken any wikipedia rule. But, as I understand, it is OK to announce other wikipedia users about voting, and it is not OK to urge them to vote for one option? I wasn't campaigning, most of the editors on bs wikipedia, already have their account on the english. And most of them are already supporting this idea. So, if I said "go vote" or "go vote for moving the article", it is basicly the same thing on bs wikipedia. If you don't belivie me, you can see that the same article on the bs wikipedia is called "Genocid u Srebrenici" witch means "Srebrenica Genocide" or "Genocide at Srebrenica". Anyway, I have corrected my announcement and I have written that they should read the disscusion, think about options and then vote for the one option. Is that OK? And also, I am not supporting making decisions based on simple voting. I am supporting consensus, but I was informed that this kind of decisions are made by survey. --Kahriman 14:45, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- If you consider your suggestion to vote to be "basically the same thing" as a suggestion to vote for a particular option, then this constitutes votestacking and is against Wikipedia's policy. —Psychonaut 17:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RS and FBiH symbols
Thank you for the answer but I already that knows ;)
Do you have a source which will make it possible to check if these symbols are still used or not, even if they are unconstitutional?
Thanks. Rémih 14:31, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- It is exactly the subject of the edit war. So I can't do anything. Bye. Rémih 19:14, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Srebrenica Massacre = Srebrenica Genocide
Hi Kahriman,
Please apologize to user Opbeith for calling him genocide denier. He does not deserve to be called that way, because he has spent months and months on this article fighting against genocide denial and vandalism. When there was nobody to defend victims of Srebrenica genocide on wikipedia, Opbeith was there. You have no idea how much garbage we had to deal with - people were literary deleting paragraphs and changing numbers from 8,000 to 2,000 and blatantly denying that genocide happened. Me, Opbeith and a couple of more users were there to defend the article. Opbeith is human rights activist and there is no way in hell that he is even close to being genocide denier. While I supported your vote to rename the article to Srebrenica Genocide, I must point out to you that now I think it should stay titled Srebrenica Massacre. You know why? Let me show you. If you go to Google and type "Srebrenica Massacre" you will get tons of websites, and sizable number of these websites deny that Srebrenica massacre was a genocide. For example, emperors-clothes, self-called srebrenica research groups, antiwar (serb ultranationalist genocide denier nebojsa malic), and many others. We are lucky that wikipedia is on top of search results for Srebrenica Massacre, click to verify, and naturally most people visit wikipedia before they even skim over other search results. Please apologize to Opbeith, it's absolutely inapropriate to insult people who are fighting against blatant and widespread genocide denial. Bosniak 21:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
