[edit] MythBusters group shot.

Where did you get Image:MythBusters.png? I can't find it on the site. I ask this as I want to get an original copy and make an optimal version. Jpeg should be used, as PNG is lossless, and not really great for photographs on webpages. The scaled version on the MythBusters article is 68k. I could always take the current image, but I don't know if it was modified before being saved to PNG.--Drat (Talk) 08:07, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

I've converted the image to Jpeg and put the original up for deletion.

[edit] Image:MythBusters.png listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:MythBusters.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:ElsaEvolution.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:ElsaEvolution.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Togashi.jpg)

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Togashi.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Admrb♉ltz (T | C) 23:19, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unjustly Blocked!

I am a uses who shares an IP adress with multiple (abusive, in some cases) users and have been unjustly blocked by mutiple administrators for doing nothing wrong.

  • If you post the IP address which has been blocked, I can unblock you. List it here or send me an e-mail. However, since it's not your actual account which was blocked, I can't find which block to undo to set you free - need the IP number. (ESkog)(Talk) 01:58, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the help anyway, it appears the latest block on my IP has expired. I'll let you know if it happens again though. Thank you. -- KahranRamsus 02:28, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mecha list

Hey, I'm going to be working on turning the Xenosaga pages into encyclopedic entries (I.E. instead of lists of terms, there will be an article devoted to Technology and/or the balance of power, much like Mythology of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy magic), so a list of mecha isn't called for. However, on [xenosaga.wikia.com the Xenosaga wikicites in process], this info would be perfect, and we can go into as much detail as we want :). — Deckiller 03:19, 4 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Sellers Xenosaga2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sellers Xenosaga2.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
