In the fictional Star Trek universe, Emperor Kahless II is the current ruler of the Klingon Empire (as of the end of the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation). A clone of the original Kahless, this individual was originally uncertain of his place in the Empire. He was given the throne upon suggestion that he become a figurehead for the Klingon people. Kahless II was warmly welcomed by his new subjects. Power, however, remains in the hands of the High Council, making Kahless II a constitutional monarch. At the time of Star Trek: Nemesis, it is believed he still sits on the throne.
