[edit] The School's Name?

Should the school be called Kadic Junior High School? None of the characters to my knoledge hace ever called it a junior high. It seems they call it Kadic Academy in the show.

  • It's referred to a Junior High in the first season. - Someguy0830 08:34, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
  • It's also referred to as such in one instance of the third season, in "Straight to Heart. It's when Yumi says to her brother "Hiroki, just because you're in junior high now..." Angie Y. 14:57, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

I thought I was the only one who noticed that. Millie (I use her French name) said "junior high" in Zero Gravity Zone. But in Unchartered Territory Jeremie said "Kadic Academy". The strange thing is though, Wikipedia refers to it as Kadic Junior High School! I'd like to know just who started that term. --Gravity Control

  • It's the term we use, since most of them are in fact in Junior High. - Someguy0830 05:32, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Yumi is in ninth grade, though. If I'm not mistaken, that's high school. Therefore it should be called Kadic Academy! --Gravity Control

  • School works differently in France. There's no reason to change the name, especially when both terms are used.

Oh--yeah. I read somewhere school kids in France get Wednesdays off for sports. Maybe it was Wednesday in Zero Gravity Zone (the episode I picked my user name after). --Gravity Control

  • I noted that on the cover to netflix, the name of the School is differant.

[edit] There are Two, Not One

In regards to the "Courtyard" section, this article makes it seem like only one courtyard exists. Plans for the school in the External Links section show otherwise. There are two courtyards seaparted by the Administration Buildings, the "Schoolyard" and "Dining Halls Courtyard" (that's the one with the vending machines). This article mentions only the Dining Halls Courtyard. In the episode articles, I distinguish the two yards as "The Quad" (for the normal schoolyard) and "the Courtyard augmented with vending concourses." I'm going to add a section for the normal schoolyard. --Jeremie@theLab 20:25, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hmmm??

Instead of going off on a tirade over having my additions to this article deleted, I'm just going to ask a simple question so I can improve.

How are you defining "original research," Someguy? Where is the borderline between original research and fact? All of those courses/clubs were mentioned in the episodes, otherwise where would I have gotten them from? Was this "original research" because none of the sites we have links for list the courses/clubs of the school?

I'd appreciated to know the answers to these questions. Thanks! --Jeremie@theLab 18:57, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Simply put, it's any research that is expressly done through self-interpretation. While the demographics list could probably be argued, as it's merely observational and rational inferences of character race, the course list can't. They never mention any specific courses other than language and generalized versions of other subjects, and one would assume a stardard course list in a school such as this. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 19:03, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
Ah, I see. I catch your drift and I'll make sure to avoid putting self-interpreted information in articles from now on. Thanks for the help! --Jeremie@theLab 01:24, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Two lunchrooms

How come when they show the children during lunchtime, they show one lunchroom, but in the school map, there's two? Angie Y. 14:59, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
