[edit] History
The Romans called the village of Kabul "Chabalon" and its crusader name was "Cabor". The village was captured by Israel on July 15, 1948 during operation Dekel. Israeli forces did not attack Kabul and very few of Kabul's residents fled the village.
[edit] Demography
Kabul has a population of approximately 7,000. Its inhabitants are mostly Muslims. The village hosts a large number of internal Palestinian refugees from nearby destroyed villages of Al-Birweh, Ad-Damun, Mi'ar and Ar-Ruways.
