Kabba

Kabba is a town in Kogi State of southern Nigeria It lies near the Osse(ohe in Okun) River, at the intersection of roads from Lokoja, Okene, Ogidi, Ado-Ekiti, and Egbe. It is about 3 hours drive from Abuja. Kabba was the administrative headquarters of Kabba division of defunct Northern Region of Nigeria, an area which include all of the current Kogi State. Kabba is a trade centre for Coffee, Cocoa, the yams, cassava, corn (maize), sorghum, shea nuts, peanuts (groundnuts), beans, cotton, and woven cloth produced by the Yoruba, Igbira, and other peoples of the surrounding…The town is populated primarily by Yoruba people, they are generally referred to as Okun people, with the Kabba indigenes also called Owe. It is the center of many educational institutions.
