KaBOOM!

KaBOOM! is a United States nonprofit organization, founded in 1996, that supports creating public play areas for children. KaBOOM! has constructed more than 1,000 playgrounds, skateparks, sports fields, and ice rinks. It also encourages communities to build play-spaces.

KaBOOM! plans to rebuild 100 playgrounds in Gulf Coast communities affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, including New Orleans and Mobile, Alabama. The organization also wishes to train and provide technical assistance for these communities.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C., KaBOOM! also has offices in Chicago, Atlanta and San Mateo, CA.
