Your right about that person who moved WLS to WLS-AM AM is not a legal suffix according to the FCC

  • Yeah, well, I've had my fill of flame wars, so I'm going to let it ride....K7jeb 04:31, 24 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I revised the Hank Thompson page to Hank Thompson (baseball player), and made the old page a disambig for that one and your Hank Thompson (music); arguably your guy is more famous, which kind of made it silly to have his be the page with parentheses. MisfitToys 09:16, May 4, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Guitarists

I am not a member of the "Guitarists" project, and it could well be that I have made mistakes in categorization. If I have, my apologies. I was going through the category of "People from Texas" and encountered his name. I tried to put on all the pages I found any of the relevant projects, both to advertise the existence of the project and to let the members of the project know that a given page related to their subject had been created. looking over the page, I note that it does not indicate that he played guitar, and I am on that basis removing the banner. Thank you for having called my mistake to my attention, as it gives me the chance to correct it. Badbilltucker 13:07, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

FYI, I uploaded your version of this over Jimbo's original, since it was just a processed version and then deleted the other file. Regards, howcheng {chat} 18:20, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hank Thompson

Good evening. Thanks for writing the Hank Thompson article. I was wondering about this statement:

"...finding new audiences as a result of the resurgence of a harder-edged sound in country music."

I'm not a huge Hank fan, but I wasn't really aware that he has a harder-edged sound. Or if I'm just misunderstanding the statement, let me know, but if I'm misunderstanding it, I am interested in clarifying it. If he does have a harder-edged sound, you can disregard this comment :-) THanks for your consideration. -Joey 75.24.217.198 03:18, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

  • I guess it is a matter of what you compare it with. I had in mind the syrupy 'Nashville Sound' that temporarily displaced honky tonk during the 70's in C&W music. Jim, K7JEB
