K57KF is a low-powered Class A Station that operates as an Almavision affiliate, serving the Los Angeles area. This station is licensed in Van Nuys, California, and is network-owned & operated.
On February 19, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, K57KF will be required to turn off its analog signal and turn on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut").
Until February 2007, this station operated on Channel 55 under the callsign K55KD, but Channel 55 was plagued by transmitter problems, so the Almavision filed with the FCC to move its Los Angeles-market affiliation to Channel 57.
