K.R. Malkani

K.R. Malkani was Ex-Lt. Governor of Pondicherry and Vice-President of BJP and also an author and journalist.
Born at Hyderabad, Sindh in November, 1921, he had his education at Hyderabad, Pune, Karachi and Mumbai.
A teacher and journalist, Malkani was associated with various social and political organisations. He was Vice-President of the Deendayal Research Institute, New Delhi from 1983 to 1990 and Bharatiya Janata Party from 1990 to 1995. He was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2000.
He also served as editor of many newspapers and was General Secretary of the Editors Guild of India from 1977 to 1978. He has written many books including The Midnight Knock (1977), The R. S. S. Story (1980), and The Sindh Story (1984). The Sind Story is a book of history that has become very popular. His book India First (2002) is a compilation of some of his articles over the last several years.
He passed away on 27 October 2003.
He is survived by two sons Arvind and Vikram and a daughter, Sindhu.
