K.C. James and Idol Stevens are a professional wrestling tag team under contract to World Wrestling Entertainment and currently wrestling in the developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling.

When they wrestled on the SmackDown! brand they were managed by (legit) former school teacher Michelle McCool, which led to them being referred to by the nickname The Teachers Pets.

[edit] History

Both K.C. James and Idol Stevens spent the early parts of their career in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Both men started as singles wrestlers, but eventually they were put together as a tag team.

In August of 2006 they were promoted to the main WWE roster and placed on the SmackDown! brand where they were given Michelle McCool as a valet. In their debut match they defeated Funaki and Scotty 2 Hotty, with McCools help. The very next week they scored a non-title win over WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick, starting a mini-feud with them and the Pit Bulls (Jamie Noble and Kid Kash) that all three teams wrestling in a series of matches over the next two months -- until Kash was abruptly released from the company, breaking up the Pit Bulls and reducing the feud to two teams. The feud when London and Kendrick won a blow off match at October's No Mercy pay-per-view.

The next month the team wasn't used much, then on November 28 McCool was (legitimately) hospitalized with an enlarged kidney and an electrolyte imbalance. As a result, while she recovered, James and Stevens were sent back to OVW.
