Kōnu District, Hiroshima

Kōnu (甲奴郡 kōnu-gun?) was a district located in Hiroshima, Japan.

As of 2003 (before the April 1 mergers), the district had an estimated population of 11,117 and a density of 50.23 persons per km². The total area was 221.31 km².

[edit] Former Towns and villages

On March 31, 2005, the town of Sōryō merged with the city of Shōbara.

On April 1, 2004, the town of Kōnu merged with the city of Miyoshi to create the new city of Miyoshi.

Also on April 1, 2004, the town of Jōge merged with the city of Fuchū, there by the district dissolved.
