The Kölnarena (German for Cologne Arena) is an indoor arena in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is primarily used by Kölner Haie (ice hockey) and to some special games by VfL Gummersbach (team handball) and RheinEnergie Köln (basketball) and as a concert venue. Kölnarena opened in 1998 and holds twice 17,500 and 19,000 people. The Arena is also used at the 2007 World Men's Handball Championship and is the third place game and final venue.
