Kärsämäki is a municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Oulu and is part of the Northern Ostrobothnia region. The municipality has a population of 3,107 (2003) and covers an area of 701.12 km² of which 3.67 km² is water. The population density is 4.4 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
