Kärleken är (Swedish: Love is) is a ballad in Swedish about love. It was written by Ingela Forsman, Bobby Ljunggren and Håkan Almqvist. The song was sung by Swedish pop and country singer Jill Johnson in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1998, where it won and competed for Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1998, where it finished 10th with 53 points. The song text was inspired by the aftermath after Diana, Princess of Wales died in a car accident in France in 1997.

Kärleken är was tested on the Sveriges Radio hitlist Svensktoppen, wherew it on 2 May 1998 entered the first place. On 23 May 1998 it sank down to a third place, and on 13 June 1998 the song was knocked out from Svensktoppen.

Kärleken är was also tested on the Sveriges Radios hitlist Tracks. On 11 April 1998 the song entered the list. The song was on the Tracks list for eight rounds, with 6th place on 16 May 1998 as best result there.

Jill Johnson recorded the song on her 1998 album "När hela världen ser på", both in Swedish and in an English language version, where the song was named Eternal Love.
