Károly Balzsay

Károly Balzsay (born July 23, 1979 in Kecskemét) is a boxer from Hungary, who is competing in the Middleweight (– 75kg) division. He represented his native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. His biggest achievement as an amateur was winning the silver medal at the 2002 European Amateur Boxing Championships in Perm, Russia. Nicknamed "Karesz" he made his professional debut on September 11, 2004 in the Kisstadion of Budapest against Milojko Pivljanin of Serbia and Montenegro.
