User talk:JzG/privacy policy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Privacy policy
I allow you to send me emails. I read them all. If I do not reply, this is not because I have not read them buht because I do not want to start an exchange outside Wikipedia. My email address is not that hard to find out if you are absolutely determined, but I don't advertise it because in the end Wikipedia is all about transparency, and it seems wrong to conduct serious business outside of Wikipedia.
One group of users chose to abuse this feature by spamming me and by publishing my email address on their website (see here [1]). I have now blocked them all at my mail server, all messages they send are silently discarded. I am not a privacy freak but my tolerance for being harangued in private about things which should be discussed on Talk pages is strictly limited.
Feel free to click "email this user", but please don't be upset if I don't reply. I have read your message.
